About HESA:
Mission Statement
The mission of the Highlands Emergency Services Alliance is to provide a unified voice for the volunteer Fire/EMS organizations and support the efforts of our communities through education, prevention, enforcement and mitigation in order to minimize the loss of life and property due to medical emergencies, fire and disasters which adversely impact our quality of life.
Fire Service Classes at HHS
Instructed by Mike Krzeminski, Fire Chief of Hilltop Hose Company #3 in Campton, Harrison Township, both classes - levels 1 & 2 - develop practical skills that each cadet will retain for their entire career in the fire or emergency-medical service. Classes meet daily during school hours and discuss topics including Fire Ground Support and HAZMAT Awareness. By the end of each school year, each cadet will have earned (a) new certification(s) that is (are) recognized by Allegheny County and the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. New students or anyone interested can speak to Mr. Krzeminski at any time during the school year or visit the links above for more information.
About Our Fundraiser:
As you may know, running a program is not cheap. The HESA program does not recieve any funding from the annual school district budget, and much of the training equipment and many of our fieldtrips are paid for by donation or fundraisers. In order for our class to remain functional, and in order for our cadets: your future local firefighters, police officers, and emergency medical technicians - who may come to your aid in times of trouble - to be successful in their fields, we desperately need your help. Fundraisers such as our Hockey Tournament need as much input from the willing public as they do from those that help organize them. From your gracious donations, whatever they may be, our cadets' training can continue.
DURING OUR FUNDRAISERS, YOU CAN EXPECT THE FOLLOWING:
-
Great hockey matches
-
Music
-
A 50-50 Raffle
-
Hot food & (also cold) drinks
-
Fun times for everyone
