H.E.S.A Hockey Tournament 2015 Rules

 

• Teams must consist of 6 people, 11 players max. (5 floor players + 1 goalie)

• A team can be comprised of students or teachers from Highlands High School or St. Joe's High School, firefighters from departments that Support H.E.S.A, HESA Alumni, or a combination of the three.

• Games will be composed of three 10-minute periods for a total of 30 minutes

• There will be 2-minute breaks between periods, and 3-minute breaks between games.

• In the event of a tie a 3-minute OT period will be used, if there is still no winner the game will go into a shootout to determine the winner.

• The clock will be stopped ONLY for goals, injuries, team timeouts, or if the ball leaves the playing surface.

• Each team will be allowed two 30-second timeouts per game.

• Teams may change goalies as needed but the clock will not stop for a change.

• You are allowed to catch the ball, but are immediately required to drop it at your feet.

• Goals will not count if the ball is kicked in the net or thrown in.

• All team players must have the same shirt color on in order to play.

• PLAYERS ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR BRINGING THEIR OWN EQUIPMENT (Pads, sticks, etc.) Playing Balls will be provided.

• GOALIES MUST HAVE PROPER EQUIPMENT ON TO BE ELIGIBLE TO PLAY!
